What we do:
The New York Innovation Center (NYIC) conducts technological research, experimentation, and prototyping to generate insights into high-value central-bank-related opportunities. As a group within the New York Fed, the NYIC informs leaders, researchers, and the public about potential applications of new financial technologies in central banking.
Your role as an NYIC Summer Analyst
Contribute and work alongside a team of architects, designers, engineers, product managers, and business strategists with common goals with research and development
Support the NYIC team in aligning on strategic objectives and the achievement of key outcomes.
Work with others to develop business cases, implementation plans, and/or key metrics to support the execution of strategic objectives.
Support innovation projects initiatives through technical research, experimentation, development, and analysis
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, reliable, secure applications, and libraries, writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
Contributing design to computer programs
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
What we are looking for:
Expected graduation between Winter 2025 and Spring 2026
Strong understanding of computer science principles and concepts.
Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as C++, Python, Go, etc.
Strong analytical skills, with ability to gather and analyze information, enrich a topic, prove/disprove a hypothesis, and create a narrative
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Strong collaboration skills with an ability to scope a business problem and develop creative viable options for solving it
Kean Interest in learning and working with new programming languages, design patterns, and tools, with a Capacity to learn quickly and adapt to new situations
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, is a plus.

Salary Range: Your regular wages for the 10 weeks will be paid on a semi-monthly basis and will be calculated based on an annual salary of $94,900, less applicable taxes. We believe in transparency at the NY Fed. This salary range reflects a variety of skills and experiences candidates may bring to the job.
