Job Description Summary
Develops and leads implementation of overall plant technical strategies and tactics focused on capital projects, R&M, and reliability focused improvement programs. Leads the Early Management (EM) Pillar to ensure implementation of vertical startup and loss elimination & prevention systems. Provides technical solution support to all departments for improvements with a One Operations Mindset. Partners with peer leadership staff on all plant losses to improve safety, food safety, compliance, and reliability. Accountable for plant capital and R&M financials along with LW Global Engineering collaboration & support for strategic capital improvements for the plant site.
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and execute 5-year capital plan that addresses strategic plant improvements in areas such as safety, quality, cost, sustainability, infrastructure, and regulatory compliance
Directly lead and mentor Plant Engineering team in best practices related to design engineering and project management
Lead the EM Pillar Team in developing VSU (Vertical Start-up) and EWP (Engineering Work Practices) capabilities
Provide oversight and guidance to maintenance leadership to ensure safety, reliability, and cost metrics are achieved
Collaborate with Plant Leadership teams to achieve plant strategic and annual goals (Journey Map process) through collaborative development of KPIs, team member roles & responsibilities, and departmental & personal accountabilities consistent with Lamb Weston principles and core values
Fostering a team-based problem-solving methodology with standardized tools and processes
Drive business literacy through education of key business issues and concepts
Collaborate & partner with Lamb Weston Global Engineering resources to support strategic projects and workstreams including, but not limited to safety & food safety improvements, capital program & project development & execution, strategic asset utilization, and Associate Engineering development
Assist Plant in delivering financial objectives
Support regulatory and customer compliance including but not limited to audits as necessary
Support the Plant reliability through project and technical support
Demonstrate servant leadership principles in all aspects of the role and encourage a culture of collaboration between all departments and team members
Work closely with Plant leadership to align strategic vision and prioritize workstreams to ensure continuity in directives between all departments, fostering a One Operations Mindset

Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience
Engineering Degree required
5 years of experience in Food Manufacturing; 3 years of industrial maintenance experience to include exposure/awareness with mechanical, electrical, and ammonia refrigeration preferred
Leadership skills to work as a peer and advisor to other departments
Excellent communication, presentation, and computer application skills

Ability to work off-shifts, weekends, and holidays when required
