A Day in the Life

Team is working hybrid and position will be onsite 3 days/week at the Mounds View, MN site.

This Area Finance Leader role provides key support to Structural Heart Sales, Marketing, Contracting, and Pricing teams. The role sits within the broader Structural Heart & Aortic Finance team and reports to the Sr Finance Manager of US Structural Heart Commercial.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Providing financial leadership/direction to the Area Directors and District Managers to develop/implement revenue and implant growth plans

  • Proactively reviewing customer quarterly rebate tier achievement to adjust accrual rates as needed and identify opportunities to help our customers achieve the next tier in their contracts

  • Establishing the field AOP (quota) methodology and distributing to the field

  • Reviewing contract performance to drive continued performance or needed changes. Use insights to provide necessary inputs for Customer Business Reviews, account planning and future contract strategy

  • Strategically helping field partners design new contract proposals with individual customers

  • Partner ing with M arketing, S ales L eadership, S r S trategy Director, and Americas Pricing & Contracting Team to ensure product pricing models support market dynamics and allow for successful implementation to drive launch goals

  • Partnering wi th Americas Pricing Team to review price drivers, trends and market insights to implement proactive pricing programs that protect margin and maximize OU strategy

  • Acting as a liaison between the US SH team, Enterprise Accounts organization and Americas Pricing & Contracting Team to develop and implement regional contract strategies for Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN) that are consistent with the OU objectives and support the Enterprise Accounts sales strategies

  • Partnering with Total Rewards and field partners to make sure commissions are paid out appropriately and capture any manual adjustments that may be necessary

  • Collaborat ing on initiatives across the organization to drive efficiency in processes, tools, and systems

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (Or Advanced Degree with 5+ years)

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Finance, Pricing, Business, Marketing, or Economics

  • Experience working with commercial sales leaders

  • Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, Power Point, and Business objects

  • Demonstrated strong quantitative and analytical skills

  • Proven ability to translate large amounts of data into actionable insights and coherent strategies

  • Demonstrated self-starter with communication, collaboration, and leadership skills

  • Must be comfortable working in cross-functional role and navigating many stakeholders

  • Proven success dealing with time-sensitive ambiguous projects in a dynamic business environment

  • Experience in Negotiation or Influence Management

  • Strong presentation skills

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$103,200.00 - $154,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
