Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas has an opportunity on our HR leadership team for a Manager Talent Acquisition. This position is responsible for the development and execution of a progressive talent acquisition strategy that embraces industry best practices that attracts and retains a quality workforce. Additionally, the Manager, Talent Acquisition leads a team of recruiters and sourcer to help successfully recruit for a broad spectrum of roles. The position supports the business' growth while maintaining the company culture and quality standards. The Manager, Talent Acquisition is an integral part of the recruiting team and contributes specifically in the areas of performance management for that team, allocation of workload, job related reporting and analysis, troubleshoots day-to-day issues associated with aging requisitions and navigates challenging situations related to recruitment and selection. This is done through team member development and implementation of sourcing and recruiting strategies, the building of candidate pipelines and enhancing internal human resources processes. Manager, Talent Acquisition acts as a coach and mentor to the talent acquisition team. In partnership with internal human resource peers, this position researches and assists with implementation of business practices, which allow the company to attract the most qualified talent.

Compensation
$109,280 - $130,000
Exempt Grade 18
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas offers excellent competitive compensation with the goal of retaining and growing talented team members. The compensation range for this role is a good faith estimate, it is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid. All offers presented to candidates are carefully reviewed to ensure fair, equitable pay by offering competitive wages that align with the individual's skills, education, experience, and training. The range may vary above or below the stated amounts.
What you'll do
Coordinates, supports and manages recruitment team, maintaining in-depth knowledge of functional and business fluency.
Identifies and assists in the resolution of operational issues using relevant policies and processes.
Promotes the company's brand through indirect recruitment and selection strategies.
Develops department related KPIs to then generates reporting; provides high level summaries to company executives on all measurable areas of the department.
Works with HRBPs and various levels of management across the company, to create recruitment strategies based on upcoming staffing requirements.
Participates in and manages various talent acquisition projects in partnership with cross-functional team(s).
Manages talent acquisition team to include individual goals and performance and continues to build a world-class talent acquisition team.
Stays abreast of industry and market standards related to recruitment and selection as well as the overall talent landscape; possesses an understanding of talent needs to assist in developing company growth plans and forecasting.
What you need
Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, business administration or related field;
In lieu of degree, 5+ years of proven experience in recruitment with solid understanding of employment law and regulations
3+ years of experience developing and leading a high-performing team
Demonstrated experience building successful and strong relationships with various stakeholders
Demonstrated experience being detail oriented and organized
Proven experience with resiliency, influence, resourcefulness and driving change to meet the needs of the business.
Communication: effective communicator, including excellent listening skills
Interpersonal: gauge the potential of new employees, scout untapped talent, and listen to the needs and concerns of staff members
Leadership: Ability to lead and develop a team to successfully carry out relevant programs/processes, assessments regarding the effectiveness of applicable strategies, and coordination of roles and responsibilities
Organization: Ability to properly prioritize daily tasks and responsibilities while building strategies that meet overall business goals
