ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:

The Division of Student Success at the University of South Florida is comprised of 60 departments, providing students with academic support, engagement opportunities, health & wellness services and enhancement of the educational experience.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a key strategic position that will serve as a project manager between the Strategic Enrollment Management Team and various university business units we serve, including the Office of Student Success, and mission-critical units in Enrollment Planning & Management, including Admissions, Financial Aid and the Registrar and several other campus partners. Plan, and oversee projects on behalf of Strategic Enrollment Management, from ideation through completion. Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget ensuring that outcomes are aligned to strategic initiatives. The position will report to the Assistant Director of Project Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Planning
Define and clarify scope of new and existing projects, identify project stakeholders, establish clear project goals and determine metrics and key performance indicators to measure progress toward goals, produce a detailed project schedule, determine resources and budget, map risks, assign tasks to project team and establish communication strategy with stakeholders and project team. Work closely with the team members to develop and coordinate plans.

Project Coordination
Maintain and monitor project plans and schedules throughout lifecycle to ensure projects are completed on-time and on-budget. Implement, manage, and configure project management software and tools (Asana, JIRA, etc.) to appropriately task team members and track project progress. Chair and facilitate meetings were appropriate to establish clear communication channels with all project team members and stakeholders.

Communication
This role will provide information to all involved stakeholders on a project throughout the project including the Office of Student Success, and mission-critical units in Enrollment Planning & Management, including Admissions, Financial Aid and the Registrar , and several other campus partners and internal team members as well as provide report progress to executive leadership.

Risk and Compliance Management
Identify and address potential risks across the project life cycles. Develop and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Project Management to ensure proactive risk management and compliance with all legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.

Performs other duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2 years of project management or coordination experience; Some positions may require project management certification.

FLSB1310 Equivalency:

4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.

PREFERRED:

PMP Certification, experience in project management.

SPECIAL SKILLS/TRAINING:

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello).
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
