As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will work closely with our team to support the development, and optimization of manufacturing processes. You will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, working on real-world projects that contribute to the efficiency and quality of our production operations.
Assist in analyzing current manufacturing processes and suggest improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
Data Collection & Analysis - Collect data from production processes, analyze trends, and help identify areas for improvement.
Assist in the creation and updating of process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Support quality assurance initiatives by participating in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
Assist in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment issues and participate in equipment maintenance activities.
Work with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and maintenance to implement process improvements.
Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and identifying potential hazards.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field with at least one year of school remaining.
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks), and data analysis tools.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
Must be available to work [full-time/part-time] during the internship period.
Please Note: This role is a year-round opportunity that requires the selected candidate to work 15 - 20 hours per week during the school year, and as many as 40 hours per week during the summer. This role also requires the selected candidate to work in office at Tyson Foods' Cincinnati, Ohio office.
