Job Summary
This role will operate plant machinery as directed while adhering to all rules and regulations mandated by safety policies and procedures to produce a superior product.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in plant start-up as instructed
Perform quality control on finished products being tumbled removing any product not meeting quality standards
Stack/sort product (concrete pavers) on elevated pallets
Occasional manual stacking of product (concrete pavers) weighing up to 50 lbs
Clean up designated area at end of shift
Assist in other areas of plant as needed and directed by supervisor
Extended periods of standing on concrete floor 8-10 hours
Subject to temperature variations based on season
Subject to exposure to noise and dust
Use of PPE to include safety shoes, hard hats, ear and eye protection
Job Requirements
High school diploma/ equivalent; or at least 1 month of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Basic understanding of electronics and programmable controllers
Knows the basics of hydraulics, electricity, and tools
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Experience working with Microsoft Suite to include Word, Excel, etc.
