We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to lead our human resources function, overseeing a team of at least three HR professionals, including an HR Generalist. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in HR practices tailored to the logistics and manufacturing industry, with the ability to manage diverse workforce needs. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping a positive work environment, ensuring compliance, and driving HR strategies that align with our company's goals. Any experience around Grocery or Food supply chains is a big plus!
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Development:
Manage, mentor, and develop an HR team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Oversee day-to-day HR operations managed by the HR Generalist and other team members.
HR Strategy and Policy Development:
Design and implement HR strategies that support business objectives, particularly in logistics and manufacturing settings.
Ensure company policies are up-to-date and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
Recruitment and Workforce Planning:
Lead recruitment efforts for both corporate and warehouse/logistics roles, ensuring timely hiring of qualified talent.
Collaborate with department heads to forecast workforce needs and implement staffing plans.
Employee Relations:
Act as a trusted advisor for management and employees on HR-related issues.
Mediate and resolve workplace conflicts while promoting a culture of inclusion, respect, and engagement.
Training and Development:
Develop and oversee training programs for employees to enhance skills and career progression.
Ensure leadership development programs are in place for key roles.
Compensation and Benefits Administration:
Manage payroll, benefits programs, and performance evaluation systems in collaboration with HR staff.
Benchmark and ensure competitive compensation structures within the industry.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations, including OSHA standards in logistics/manufacturing environments.
Conduct audits and reviews to minimize HR-related risks.
HR Metrics and Reporting:
Monitor and analyze HR metrics to improve decision-making and organizational effectiveness.
Provide regular reports to senior leadership on HR initiatives and their impact.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree or HR certification preferred).
Experience:
5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Industry experience in logistics, manufacturing, or a related field is strongly preferred.
Must have managed 3 HR employees excluding Payroll
Must have handled employee Relations and hiring for distribution/manufacturing professionals
Skills:
Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Mandarin/Cantonese is a huge plus!
