Additionally, the candidate will provide administration and technical supervision to staff involved in the implementation, coordination, and examination of watershed analytics, overseeing the creation of system and hardware integrations, data acquisition, transformation, and statistical reporting. In this role, the candidate will assist in developing division policies and procedures, resolve personnel issues, evaluate subordinate staff performance, and lead recruitment efforts.

Furthermore, the candidate should be skilled in planning, organizing, directing, and reviewing the work of staff and consultants involved in the monitoring, reporting, and construction associated with major watershed analytics projects. The ability to prepare and negotiate service agreements, review and approve consultant invoices for payment, and ensure compliance with all relevant rules, policies, guidelines, and procedures is critical.

Finally, the candidate should foster and maintain respectful relationships, demonstrate strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, and mentor staff effectively within the context of Flood Control construction or hydrologic projects.
