Delta Star provides power solutions for utilities across North America. This includes the manufacturing of medium-power transformers, mobile transformers, mobile electrical substations, trailers, and unitized substations. We offer power transformers for utility applications including power and distribution, transmission voltages, system ties, and automatic voltage regulations, as well as industrial applications. Delta Star also provides comprehensive engineering, testing, maintenance services, and parts for any transformer manufacturer through our Field Service business unit, ensuring our customer's transformers and mobiles maintain peak performance.
Purpose
The Proposal Analyst develops proposals, bids, quotations, RFP responses, and other documents describing organizational products and services. Collaborates with internal contributors and subject matter experts to ensure content is complete, accurate, and maximizes business opportunities.
Main Responsibilities
Receives customer RFQs/RFPs including transformer specifications.
Assesses requirements, gathers information, and prepares quotation documents.
Receives new purchase orders and prepares each project for handoff to Customer Solutions, Engineering, and Operations.
Ensures quotation responses and acceptance of orders while addressing customer needs.
Responsibilities & Duties
Maintains detailed records relating to RFQs and new Purchase Orders then enters into ERP system.
Gathers inputs from multiple departments within set deadlines.
Compiles costs and enters into ERP system for approval.
Manages all aspects of proposal creation including responses, formatting, and editing to meet proposal deadlines.
Highlights unusual requirements for management.
Corresponds with outside sales agencies and customers about technical and commercial items to ensure quality output.
Validates new purchase orders by ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policy.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred. Alternatively, a special combination of experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments will be evaluated and accepted by Delta Star.
1-2 years of experience in Contracts, Customer Service, or Sales, preferred.
Must possess strong organization skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail and reading comprehension skills.
Ability to learn and understand basic technical and engineering tenets of the transformer industry.
Ability to worth both independently and collaboratively.
Outstanding listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.
