Job Title: Production Operator
As Production Operator in the Machine shop, you have the opportunity to set up, monitor, and maintain machines and equipment used in production lines. You may be responsible for feeding metal parts into machines, operating machines, making minor repairs, replacing parts, and testing finished materials for compliance.
Essential Job Duties:
You may be assigned to any of the following functions according to staffing and production demands:
Machine Operator: Feeds metal parts into various metalworking machines. May secure part and/or depress dual anti-repeat buttons or foot petal to activate machine process. May remove product, inspect for defects, and place in designated area. Repeats process during assigned time period.
Tester: Loads product onto machine, depressed button to secure, pulls down on bar to lower product into solution. Visually observes solution surface for air bubbles which indicates defect. Discards defective product into reject bin. Pushes accepted product off machine, loads more product, and repeats process during assigned period. Periodically transfers rejected product to designated area. Fills out production forms.
Assembler: Assembles various components per specifications by hand and/or with use of fixed or hand-held pneumatic drivers.
Chip and Oil Worker: Services machines according to maintenance schedule. Fills machines with coolant, oils machine heads, shovels out chips and sludge, changes filters. Cleans up spills with automatic floor scrubber. Periodically performs machine pump out procedure.
Paint Line Operator: Loads and off bears product to and from conveyor carrying parts into and out of paint machine. Obtains product from and drops painted product into floor bins. Repeats process throughout assigned period.

Starting pay rate $19.06 with $2.00 shift differential
Standard shift Monday-Friday 2nd shift
