Project Management
Lead the planning, coordination, and oversee the execution of assigned projects. Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define scope, and establish realistic timelines. This includes allocating resources, budgets, identifying dependencies, risks, and constraints. Ensure that tasks are completed on time and within established standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes and change requests. Prepare and deliver comprehensive project status updates to stakeholders and project team members, highlighting achievements, challenges, and next steps.
Strategic Planning and Implementation
Partner with the university's Office of the CIO and university and academic stakeholders to develop and maintain strategic IT plans. Engage with stakeholders to identify priorities, set goals, and develop action plans to drive strategic initiatives. Develop and implement processes to report on progress via scheduled updates to internal and external university stakeholders.
Process Assessment and Improvement
Lead the development and implementation of process assessments and improvements. This can include reducing the time needed to perform certain functions, cutting costs, or enhancing the quality of a service or standard operating procedure.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, or a related field and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in managing high-level, complex projects - preferred in an information technology setting
Outstanding time management and organizational skills, must be able to work independently
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
Proficient in change management principles and techniques, with the ability to drive successful change.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Relevant certifications such as PMP or Agile are preferred.
