Responsibilities:
Perform plastic media blasting to strip military aircraft for maintenance and surface preparation for repainting.
Load media blast hopper, operate high-pressure sprayers, and mask areas for blasting.
Apply coatings such as paint, lacquer, epoxy, or resin using spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other devices.
Remove old paint, smooth surfaces with sandpaper or steel wool, and prepare aluminum surfaces for proper adhesion.
Mask and stencil insignia, letters, and numerals on aircraft surfaces.
Qualifications:
Experience: Media blast and paint shop process experience required.
Physical Requirements: Ability to handle strenuous activities.
