Support special operations forces by contributing to logistics and ground support systems that ensure the readiness and effectiveness of elite units. This role provides the chance to support high-priority missions, offering insights into the logistics and sustainment of critical defense operations.
Responsibilities:
Manage and review business contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards while supporting special operations forces by contributing to logistics and ground support systems.
Serve as the main liaison with outside contracting representatives and coordinate with clients to ensure contract terms are fulfilled.
Negotiate contract terms and conditions, analyze potential risks, and handle breach of contract issues promptly.
Develop and implement effective procurement proposals and ensure contracts are compliant with current laws and regulations.
Research and update contracts to align with changing regulations and industry standards.
Review legal documents, financial reports, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and clarity.
Oversee standard operating procedures (SOPs) and occupational, safety, and environmental compliance.
Qualifications:
Education & Clearance:
Active Top Secret Clearance required.
Experience:
Proven experience as a Contract Specialist or similar role, with a focus on creating, examining, and monitoring contracts for materials or labor suppliers.
Experience with PD2 software.
Fundamental knowledge of construction techniques, building materials, and equipment.
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in procurement regulations, contract documents, and legal specifications.
Basic understanding of purchasing and supply chain procedures.
Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Ability to analyze and interpret legal, financial, and technical documents.
Proficiency in office applications and arithmetic concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions.
Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant certifications and training as a Contracts Specialist.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to resolve client complaints and concerns.
