The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, a four-year undergraduate college of the University of Pittsburgh, invites applications for an appointment stream Assistant Professor of Sociology to begin in Fall 2025. Successful applicants must be capable of teaching introductory sociology courses, Social Research Methods, Social Statistics, and upper-level sociology courses. Ph.D. or ABD in Sociology or related field and prior college teaching experience required. Area of specialization is open, but preference will be given to applicants who can also contribute courses to the Criminal Justice program.
Teaching responsibilities include four courses each semester. Candidates should exhibit skill and enthusiasm in teaching undergraduates and be willing to participate in all phases of departmental, divisional, and college activities.
