The Department of Health Policy and Management is seeking an individual for a part-time Lecturer position outside the tenure stream to teach PUBHLT-0444, “Health Equity and the US Health System: What Is and What Could Be” in the 2025 Spring Term. The candidate must possess a master’s degree to teach in the MHA and MPH programs and possess an understanding of health inequity across intersecting population characteristics and conditions as it relates to U.S. health system policy and management components. The candidate will be able to help provide insight into how each part of the healthcare system both perpetuates health disparities and has a role to play in advancing health equity across populations.
The salary to teach the course will adhere to the terms of the Pitt Faculty Union CBA of $2,500 per credit. PUBHLT-0444 is a 3-credit course.
