Position Title : Third Assistant Engineer (750s)

Schedule : Gulf and East Coast: 28/28.

Location : East Coast, Gulf.

Union : Seafarers International Union. Union Membership is required upon acceptance of a permanent role within the ATB fleets.

Required Qualifications

Education/Credentials:

• Assistant Engineer - Limited, Oceans License (may sub 3A/E, 2A/E, or 1A/E Motor License)


• MMC w/ Valid STCW Endorsements


• Basic Safety Training (VI/1)


• Personal Survival Craft (VI/2)


• Advanced Firefighting (VII/3)


• VPDSD (Vessel Personnel w/ Designated Security Duties) (VI/6)


• OICEW (Officer In Charge of Engineering Watch) 750kw/1000HP or higher


• Lifeboatman


• CPR/First Aid


• STCW Medical Certificate - we require the STCW Expiration Date to be valid


• TWIC badge - Not to expire within three months


• Valid Passport - Not to expire within six months, must be able to travel internationally with no felonies, DUI or other convictions which would restrict entry into Canada or other nations

Experience

• 1 year of service as sea sea-going Engineer


• Tankerman-Engineer or Tankerman-PIC (Barge)


• Prior experience with Inert Gas systems and Intercon Coupling systems


• Wartsila, AlfaLaval experience


• Familiarity with petroleum cargo and ballast operations and regulations


• Computer efficiencies with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Maintenance Based Programs
