Location: Springfield, Missouri





Job Description:





This is working our weekend shift, Friday-Sunday 5:00am-5:30pm. This shift receives a 10% shift differential.




Job purpose

Our Machine Operators are an integral part of the team, responsible for forming parts using various types of machinery. Our Machine Operators will be assigned to a specific area, but are always empowered to cross-train in order to learn a variety of different machines.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities




  • Understand and follow all company procedures for safety.
  • Inspect work pieces to conform to specifications and adjust machine to correct errors.
  • Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms.
  • Discern quality of parts and materials used in production.
  • Test finished products for defects.
  • Maintain the tools used to create products.
  • Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.



Qualifications




Education

  • High school diploma or GED strongly preferred



Specialized Knowledge and Experience

  • Ability to read and comprehend blue prints, shop floor documentation, customer specifications/diagrams, instructions provided by supervisors/managers.
  • No experience is required, but the successful candidates must have the mechanical aptitude to manufacture parts with high quality.
