The sales and estimation role will lead the product group in the sales of projects, mill outage services, and debarking line audits with an additional focus on further business generation in the areas of maintenance, rebuilding and/or upgrading of existing equipment. This position works collaboratively with the wood group internal stakeholders on execution and development of projects aligned with set targets continually focused on securing the division's position as the preferred partner in North America.
The responsibilities of the Sales and Estimation role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Address project related sales decisions utilizing Global process guidelines
Propose Regional targets based on global initiative and budget outlines
Provide excellent customer satisfaction utilizing responsiveness and quality proposals
Achieve holistic understanding of the customer business
Excel at customer relationship management
Collect and disseminate market Information and competitor intelligence
Sales lead development functions including strategic planning, and launch of new products and business models
Contribute to marketing and customer facing events
Execute timely CRM entries, updates and forecasting
Prioritization of work, including readily shifting priorities to respond to changing customer and business needs
Identify potentially adverse customer responses and develop solution-oriented alternatives
Operate with integrity and transparency to build trust and solid relationships
Active listening skills to understand the expectations and needs of the customer and internal stakeholders
Ability to interact with industry decision-makers (General Manager, Purchasing Director and Technical Director) and sensitivities toward multicultural factors in negotiation
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Engineering or Technical Degree
Experience in sales and financial management tasks
General knowledge of the Pulp and Paper Industry
Wood processing, bulk handling equipment or industry related sales experience preferred but not required
Strategic planning and leadership skills
Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills in English language

Regional coordination and alignment across Product Groups for Service, Capital, PPAD, and other key stakeholders
Business coaching of key position holders to provide specialized knowledge and grow market share
Proficiency with the utilization of computer, including the Microsoft Office platform (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel, OneNote) and experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
Flexibility to work some nights and weekends as needed
Travel required as needed
