As the MAC Technician, the individual is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and fixing Mac OS X, Windows Solutions on OS X, MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, PowerBook, iBook, Power Mac, iMac, Mac Mini, Mac Pro, iPod, iPhone, iPad, and peripherals, such as scanners and local and network printers. In this role, the Technician will support MAC end-user devices, as well as providing standardization of the devices and workstations while enabling and managing customizations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Wipes out viruses, adware, malware, and spyware by making use of different Configurations and troubleshooting MAC operating systems
  • Script with PowerShell, be conversant with MS-Office and Outlook, and possess knowledge of O365 and Active Directory
  • Supports the launch of new applications, services, and tools within their organizations.
  • Establishes accounts and profiles of new users and handle their password issues
  • Logs all activities within an organization through a ticket tracking system and document incidents carefully and accurately
  • Documents resolutions of problems in the organizational knowledge base
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures to support daily tasks
  • Ensures proper documentation by following quality control workflows
  • Oversees usage of systems, so they comply with the organization's cyber security policies and procedures
  • Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government team

Required Qualifications/Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid SEC+ Certification
  • Apple Certified Mac Technicians (ACMTs) Certification
  • Strong knowledge of MAC workstation best practices and standards
  • Strong knowledge of MAC servers, which includes network connectivity, printers, implementation of new servers, STIGs, and patching
  • Experience with network monitoring tools
  • Must have hands on experience JAMF management
  • Must have hands on experience with bash shell scripting
  • Ability to work within a team-oriented, collaborative environment, develop strong working relationships across organizations
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to support tasks and issues through to completion, strong follow-through, and critical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to create an effective and professional customer service experience
  • Must have a Public Trust and be able to acquire and maintain a Secret clearance
