The Economics Department at Clark University invites applications for an open-rank Visiting Professor position starting in fall 2025. This is a full-time, one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal or conversion to a tenure-track position, contingent on performance and funding availability; a very strong candidate may negotiate a two-year appointment to start. We seek candidates whose research focuses on the macroeconomic impacts of climate change and who have demonstrated ability to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Macroeconomic Growth at the PhD level, Environmental Economics at the undergraduate level, and other core or elective courses for the undergraduate program. We welcome applications from new PhDs as well as those who have recently retired or are on leave from other academic institutions. We are particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives within the University's new School of Climate, Environment and Society (CES), which will launch in fall 2025.



Job Requirements:

Applicants should submit a current CV; a research statement; a recent research paper; a teaching statement and evidence of teaching effectiveness (if available); three letters of recommendation and a one-page diversity statement describing how, through their research, teaching, and/or service, they may help advance Clark's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. For tenured applicants, the reference letters are not required until the final interview state (On-Campus or virtual). Review of applications will begin in January 2025 and continue until the position if filled.
