The Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for the development and placement of engaging content to market Civista Bank's products and services. This position is responsible for providing a consistent customer experience by developing communications to support brand integrity and awareness. Demonstrates Civista Bank's mission to improve the financial lives of our employees and shareholders to make a difference in the communities that we serve.
Key Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Expectations:
Create and deliver content that is consistent with brand voice. Contributes to the organization's marketing and business strategies while adhering to compliance and regulatory standards. Content may promote products, services, delivery systems and brand, using a variety of communication formats and placement channels – print, digital, social and video.
Analyze data to identify trends and understand market demographics to develop content to engage target audiences.
Develop communications to support brand integrity and awareness, providing a consistent customer experience.
Collaborate with business line leaders, colleagues and vendors in the planning, production, and execution of marketing and PR communications.
Review the work of vendors and other team members in an editorial capacity for accuracy, quality, consistency, and adherence to the brand guidelines and regulatory compliance.
Dedication to ongoing learning activities. Staying up to date on emerging marketing tools and services which increase job efficiencies.
All other duties as assigned and any activities that support the key accountabilities.
Requirements:
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related area of study
Three or more years' practical business experience in generating marketing communications, banking industry preferred
Excellent writing, copy-editing and presentation skills with demonstrated expertise and creativity in promotional and informational writing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Graphic design, desktop publishing skills and video production experience preferred
Proven ability to form and execute on creative concepts (both written and visual), as well as supervise and provide creative and editorial direction to vendors, colleagues, etc.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously and effectively
A high level of initiative, thoroughness, accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to function in a financial institution environment and utilize standard office equipment including, but not limited to: PC, multi-function printer, telephone, etc.
Physical Requirements:
Work involves eye strain due to the frequent use of computer screens, reading of reports, proofing advertising information, and so forth
Work involves being able to concentrate on the matter at hand, under sometimes distracting work conditions.
Work involves lifting and moving files of up to 15 lbs.
Work involves ability to read, hear, write, and communicate professionally both in person and via telephone.
Work involves some travel to attend meetings, training, and so forth.
