Job Description

Are you an experienced BIM professional with a knack for leadership and a passion for digital innovation in the construction industry? At KPFF, we're seeking a BIM Manager to join our expanding team. In this role, you will oversee the implementation and management of BIM processes across various projects, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency. You will lead a team of BIM modelers, collaborate with project stakeholders, and drive the adoption of best practices in digital modeling.   • Lead BIM Implementation: Execute initial project setup and oversee the implementation of BIM processes across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to industry and office standards and project-specific requirements. Assuring model integrity on cloud-hosted platforms.


  • Manage BIM Team: Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of BIM modelers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Review markups and execution of markups for compliance.


  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure effective integration of BIM models and processes. Facilitate communication and coordination among all stakeholders.


  • Maintain BIM Standards: Maintain BIM standards, protocols, and best practices. Continuously refine and improve BIM workflows to enhance project efficiency and quality.


  • Quality Assurance: Conduct model reviews and audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications. Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of deliverables.


  • Innovate and Optimize: Identify opportunities for innovation and optimization within BIM processes. Implement new tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve project outcomes.


  • Training and Support: Provide project teams with training and support on BIM tools and processes. Ensure team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or BIM certifications with relevant industry experience.

  • At least seven years of experience in BIM management within the architecture, engineering, or construction industry, including managing teams with remote colleagues and members.

  • Extensive experience with BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other industry-standard tools. Proficiency with Dynamo and other scripting tools is a plus.

  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams, demonstrating strong leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information effectively.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  • Ability to think critically and creatively, developing innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes.

  • A proactive attitude toward teamwork and a demonstrated willingness to learn, adapt, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with distributed teams


Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table.

  • Occasionally, may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.

Additional Information

Compensation
The base salary for this role is competitive, with a range of $115,000-$150,000, determined by experience, education, and skills. KPFF also offers performance-based bonuses to recognize outstanding contributions.
