PETTIBONE TRAVERSE LIFT, LLC, an affiliate of the Heico Companies, manufactures versatile material handling equipment for the construction, forestry, steel pipe, mining, and railroad industries as well as mobile equipment configured to perform seismic exploratory work for the geophysical industry.
The Position
The Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in providing analytical insights and strategic recommendations to support Pettibone's decision-making processes. This position focuses on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to ensure the group's financial health and alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis:
Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
Analyze financial results, variances, and trends, providing actionable insights to management.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports summarizing financial performance.
Partner with department leaders to align financial goals with operational strategies.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Coordinate the annual budgeting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare rolling forecasts, updating assumptions based on current business trends.
Identify risks and opportunities impacting financial performance and provide recommendations to mitigate or capitalize on them.
Business Support:
Analyze costs, margins, and operational efficiency to support profitability goals.
Evaluate the financial impact of capital projects, pricing strategies, and other key business decisions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate dashboards to track financial health.
Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and reports as requested by leadership.
Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
Job Requirements
Experience and Education:
Experience: 3+ years of experience in financial analysis
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in ERP software
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including macros, pivot tables and financial modeling
Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI)
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of financial principles, forecasting techniques, and cost analysis
Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and accounts receivable processes.
Supervisory Responsibility - This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work - This is a full-time position. Work hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
