The Kroll's Financial Instruments and Technology practice is a leading solutions provider for asset managers, hedge funds, fund administrators, banks, insurers, private equity firms, commodity trading and investment firms, and corporations.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
Execute client engagements from day-to-day interaction with the client on valuation and analytics projects including client deal team interviewing, managing engagement economics, team management, developing and reviewing models, report writing, research and tracking market and industry information
Write technical reports, client-focused marketing materials, and presentations.
Model building and reviewing - DCF models, fixed income models, comparable company models, stock option models, financial instrument and complex option models and intangible asset valuation models
Operational relationship with client, building long-term client relationships through exceptional client service including a deep understanding of the client and their needs, exceptional responsiveness, and the delivery of the highest quality service and work product
Client Interviewing - gathering data pertinent to the engagement
Developing deep technical strength in the valuation of alternative assets, serving as a firm resource for that expertise and sharing that knowledge with peers.
Field client questions, auditor questions, and investor questions. Articulate and defend a modelling approach under scrutiny.
Essential traits:
Bachelors, in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or a related quantitative discipline. Master's degree or further accreditation (e.g., CFA) is beneficial.
2+ years of relevant work experience (Fewer years of relevant experience will be considered for candidates with higher academic qualifications, such as a PhD or a second Master's degree)
Proven technical skills, proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, comfortable speaking with senior management
Ability to manage confidential, sensitive information
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to master new tasks quickly
Effective interpersonal, comprehension and written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated leadership experience and strong personal integrity
Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments in a team environment and balance long-term development priorities with short-term client deliverables
Experience working with diverse teams

The current salary range for this position is $90,000 to $150,000
