Our Corporate office located in Melville is activity seeking a FT Facilities and Construction Administrator for its busy Department! This individual will be responsible for locating key suppliers, negotiating the companys purchasing agreements and ensuring that the products meet company specifics for purchased items. Individual must have a keen sense of budget in this position, with working knowledge of company products, prices, department needs and budgets.
Responsibilities
Will be responsible for Identifying suppliers of goods and servicesWill negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.Work as the liaise with suppliers and project managers regarding updates and details of goodsWill create purchase orders, tallying them with supply requests and ordersAnalyze invoices to ensure accuracy of good/products deliveredMonitor inventory to ensure the flow of goods/products remains consistent and reliableWork closely with the projects team to understand details of procurement requirementsOther duties and functions as assigned
Requirements
AS Degree in Engineering Construction Management or Construction Management or some classes towards a degree is preferred1-3 years of prior experience working within a construction department for a retail environment is requiredAdditional certification in the field of procurement is a plusExcellent written and communication skills coupled with great negation skills are necessary for this positionMust have strong problem-solving skillsAble to travel to meet vendors and suppliers as necessary

Working Conditions
Most of the time is spent moving about continuously on hard surfaces. There may be a need to frequently position oneself to examine and/or scan merchandise, including bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping.May require lifting objects up to 30 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance.Usually in a comfortable indoor environment surrounded by moving machinery and/or loud equipment that may require shouting in order to be heard. There could be exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and/or coolers.There may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents, sharp objects/industrial equipment necessary to perform job duties and functions.
