About the team:
We are looking for an exception Principal Data Scientist to join our high-powered team. We are dedicated to providing solutions at the intersection of retail and consumer health that empower Walmart's consumers, businesses, and partners to make informed decisions. You will report to the Director Data Sciences.
What you'll do:
As a Principal Data Scientist, you will lead the development of advanced data analytics, machine learning and statistical modeling solutions to lead consumer behavior and experiences, business growth, and improve operations.
You will work with cross-functional teams, including product, technology, and experts in retail and consumer health, to build actionable insights.
Your expertise will play a critical role in shaping our products and services that drive key strategic initiatives and outcomes.
What you'll bring:
8+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or analytics with a focus on the consumer health and retail spaces.
Experience developing and deploying end-to-end advanced analytics solutions such as predictive modeling, search, or recommender systems using large structure and unstructured datasets.
Strong programming skills in SQL and Python with expertise in libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Strong understanding and experience in model assessment, validation, and performance monitoring to maintain accuracy and reliability over time.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
