Job Summary
As a Project Manager with Leviat, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your talents and passion in a constantly evolving construction industry. We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and driven individual to join the Leviat Project Engineering team as Project Manager within our engineering team. Innovative products and services are at the foundation of our company and this position will support our market-leading engineered products in the constantly evolving and growing construction industry.
While this job will be under the direction of the Project Management Office (PMO), the scope of the job will cross all identified regions, as the candidate will communicate with several functions including but not limited to sales, marketing, engineering, designers, manufacturing, finance, and customer services. The range of customer contacts includes professional specifiers, design build contractors, concrete contractors, contract manufacturers, trades, technical professionals, precast OEMs and senior managers from various companies and organizations.
This person's main responsibility will be to execute requests for quotations, orders, and lead times from customers. Coordinate with other departments in handling projects and providing service to customer for the entire Thermomass portfolio.
This position reports to the Customer Service Manager and will be based out of our office in Boone, Iowa and will require minimal travel.
Job Responsibilities
Project management:
Work with production scheduling to prioritize and track projects
Facilitate the progress and timeliness of projects by contacting customers, both inside and outside, when appropriate to obtain information to further project progression
Communicate with customer to obtain information regarding status of drawings, engineering, and expected completion dates for upcoming projects. Update internal tools and software with necessary information and status of each project
Maintain database records by inputting correspondence in the database for historical record keeping. (i.e. email, record of phone calls, project notes)
Provide necessary project information, guidance, and drawings from customer for engineering and drafting's use
Provide quotes to customers per job specifications using price list
Coordinate with outside vendors for delivery of materials and execution of outsourced projects
Responsible for project tracking and forecasting:
Track project thru daily engineering schedule to assure project is meeting the customer's required date
Collaborate and provide forecasts to the production team, sales team, engineering team, and other internal stakeholders
Coordinate with customers horizon projects from bid stage through construction
Maintain accurate reporting and tracking of project KPIs to meet and exceed department goals
Assist in devising new ways to improve efficiency within the engineering department
Handle all customer inquiries:
Answer customer's inquiries and questions either technical or non-technical
Send out material spec sheets when requested
Support the execution of quotes and estimates for engineering services and preliminary bill of materials
Create and send engineering and drafting submittals to the customers
Job Requirements
2+ years of relevant experience in project management or sales in fast-paced industry responsible for coordinating high volume of projects
Ability to read and interpret construction documents (specifications, drawings, etc) is preferred
Ability to use a variety of computer programs, including Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access), project management tools (Smartsheet preferred) and ERP (AX or SAP preferred)
Technical knowledge related to the construction industry. Preferably related to tilt-up, precast, masonry, and cast-in-place
Self-starter motivated and able to take initiative, with ability to finish a project on time
Attention to detail
