You have completed a BS in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. An advanced degree may be substituted for related experience (MS 1-2 years or PhD 1-3 years). You have worked in an engineering role for at least 2 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

Experience or coursework demonstrating a working engineering knowledge (reactor physics or thermal-hydraulics phenomena preferred).
Experience with software development with C, C++, Fortran, or Python.
Experience with computer model development and application (e.g.SERPENT, MCNP, SCALE, CASMO, SIMULATE or other nuclear industry analysis code).
Effectively communicates highly technical topics to diverse groups which include Framatome management, customers and NRC staff.
Experience developing and documenting software within an NQA-1 quality assurance program.

As a Neutronics Codes and Methods Engineer in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. This job opening is for the BWR Neutronics Codes and Methods group, which is responsible for maintaining and developing the engineering software used to design and license the fuel assemblies loaded in our customers' nuclear reactor cores. The team performs research and development of new codes and methods, addresses emergent issues, and responds to requests from internal and external users. Your work will include:
Work with multi-disciplinary teams to develop software and company products which support the design and licensing of Framatome fuel.
Program new or revise existing software based on technical and performance objectives of a project.
Perform licensing assessments for Framatome fuel design and methods.
Develop and benchmark models used in licensing assessments.
Interface with U.S. regulations to license Framatome reactor core design and methods.
Work within a Linux computing environment.

Framatome's Richland, WA facility is a licensed nuclear fuel manufacturing site and complies with US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and US Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. Your Total Rewards Package
The range of base salary for the position is between $81,000 - $105,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
