Location/Division Specific Information



In this role, you will join our Facilities team providing support to our local site in Hillsboro, Oregon. As a Facilities Specialist you will ensure the team is providing the best service and environment for our building occupants. This role will focus on supporting maintenance for existing equipment and facilitating work order closure. The Facilities department strives to provide outstanding engagement and support for our employees, visitors, and business partners.



Summary:



This role sustains the maintenance, compliance and security of the facilities and equipment and assists in preserving the cleanliness and safety of the facility. The position will occasionally be asked to provide on-call support as necessary to maintain operations.



Essential Functions:



  • Performs daily inspection and readings of critical equipment.

  • Maintains facility cleanliness and repairs as needed to preserve safety.

  • Basic troubleshooting of HVAC and mechanical equipment.

  • Schedules, coordinates, and escorts contractors and service vendors as the need arises.

  • Perform tasks as requested with the ability to work independently with little direction.

  • Responds to facility and equipment alarms per corresponding standard operating procedures.

  • Actively participates in the quality observations and improvement programs.

  • Identifies safety, quality, and efficiency gaps and improvements.

  • Coordinates with trades and contractors on quote requests.

  • Authors and revises facility Work Orders.

  • Performs other tasks as assigned by personnel and management.

  • Promotes PPI Business System improvement initiatives

  • Effective time management; demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and pace

  • Capability to work optimally with cross-functional teams

  • Flexibility/willingness to step up to meet operational/facility needs.


How will you get here?




Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.


Experience



  • 4 or more years work related experience in light carpentry, electrical, and/or plumbing

  • 2 or more years work experience supporting facility maintenance

  • 1 year experience with building management systems

  • 1 year experience working in cleanroom environments

  • Mechanical proficiency is a plus
