The Division of Translational Medicine and Human Genetics in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Genomic Medicine. Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
Teaching responsibilities may include may include teaching medical students, residents and fellows within the clinical setting and serving as a research mentor.
Clinical responsibilities may include may include care of patients in the outpatient setting and as an attending on an inpatient consult service. Clinical duties for preferred candidates with a PhD will be consistent with degree.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include engaging in funded research involving genomic medicine implementation research and clinical care. Evidence of scholarship is required in the Clinician Educator Track. Selected candidates will participate in the Penn Center for Genomic Medicine.
The Division of Translational Medicine and Human Genetics comprises clinical and research faculty with diverse investigative interests and close affiliations with clinical departments at Penn Medicine as well as the neighboring Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Wistar Institute.
There will be an expectation of the ability of selected candidate to provide management and/or leadership. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
