The Department of Psychology, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Research Lead Technician to join our team.
The Research Lead Technician participates in the execution, design, and development and control of a National Institute of Mental Health funded study examining the effects of adolescent neighborhood stress exposure on social media use; coordinates the conduct of research activities, behavioral interviews; compiles and analyzes this large scale research data collected from the phones; collects biosamples (blood, hair, saliva); designs and implements complex data processing systems to code large scale research data. Position available for one year with the possibility of extension with based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding.
Education:
Required: Bachelor's degree in computer and information science or related field or equivalent experience
Desired: Master's degree
Qualifications:
Required: 4 years of relevant experience in a social science discipline
Desired: Conduct of social science research; considerable experience with R, Matlab, Python, and related programs; experience with large-scale data management, and process development desired; experience with computer programming.
Target Hiring Range - $20.02-$26.33
