The primary purpose of this position is to work independently performing monthly account reconciliation. The position will assist with receivables, perform collection activities, and provide support for various projects and reporting responsibilities as needed. Duties include but may not be limited to: reviewing and submitting monthly invoices; drafting, submitting and collecting effort information from staff; and data entry. Performs other duties as assigned by the Associate Director and unit leadership.
Additional requirements include: provide routine monthly status reports and when necessary, provide immediate reports to upper management if problems are identified; establish and maintain effective working relationships with departmental faculty staff; communicate effectively in both oral and written form; maintain accurate record of accounting codes.
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in accounting work; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel. Excellent analytic, organizational, and communications skills (written and verbal).
Knowledge and experience in Business Administration or Accounting. Advanced Excel skills, including the use of macros, cell and file linking capabilities and pivot tables. Knowledge of University systems and procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
