Job Summary:
Support students' education efforts and assist the instruction process through musical accompaniment.
Required Qualifications:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Play piano to accompany the choir during rehearsals and concerts.
Play piano to accompany the vocal and instrumental students during rehearsals and performances for music recitals and juries.
Play piano to accompany faculty recitals.
Attend staff meetings called by the associate dean or discipline lead.
Available to work a flexible schedule.
Support students' music education.
Maintain confidentiality of student records in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Ensure offices and files are adequately secured on a daily basis.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and one (1) year piano accompanying experience.

* Experience in accompanying ballet classes and understanding of ballet class structure (barre exercises, center work, and across-the-floor combinations). * Proficiency in playing various music styles essential for ballet classes, including but not limited to Adagio, Allegro, Waltz, Polonaise, and Mazurka. * Familiarity with key French ballet terms, including but not limited to plié, tendu, dégagé, rond de jambe, and grand battement. Ability to quickly select music appropriate for the exercise and adapt it to match the tempo, quality, and duration of the movement phrase. * Collaborate with dance faculty to create a classroom experience that fosters student learning and engagement.
