Job Title:Clinical Research CoordinatorDepartment:CCC | Cancer Prevention

Clinical Research Coordinator in the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center to coordinate daily activities and efforts of clinical research projects, specifically, the Total Cancer Care; participates in various aspects of research projects including project coordination, staff training and acting as a preceptor, quality control activities, and working on special projects; identifies, assesses, recruits, enrolls participants onto clinical studies and obtains informed consent; educates patients and their families of purpose, processes and goals of study; answers questions regarding research protocols; participates in evaluating patients for compliance related to protocol; communicates with staff in collaborating clinics and offices; documents and collects data per protocol; coordinates all aspects of study participation; ensures research studies are conducted in accordance with the study protocol and guidelines, policies, and requirements of OSU; assists in developing plans to meet requirements of new protocols for special projects; responsible for participant follow-up activities; participates in the investigation and determination of protocol violations; ensures actions are taken directly or indirectly to eliminate causes of protocol violation; ensures that all federal and local quality guidelines, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP), are followed; attends study meetings; provides weekly updates and progress reports on study activities including recruitment and follow-up activities; other administrative duties as needed.





Minimum Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences or other medical field, or equivalent combination of education experience required. 1 year of relevant experience required.
