This Postdoctoral Research Associate would support studies to examine a role for the tumor-intrinsic NLRP3 inflammasome in immune evasion associated with the process of tumor dormancy and treatment resistance persistor cell development, tumor relapse, and metastatic progression. This work would involve a combination of ex vivo tumor-T cell co-culture assays, the use of in vivo tumor models, and the utilization of tumor clinical specimens. Techniques would include the use of CRISPR/Cas9-targeted gene deletion, microbead and FACS cell purification, flow cytometry analysis, Western blot, qrt-PCR, ELISA, RNAseq, scRNAseq, micro-CT imaging, IHC, FISH, and proximity ligation assays. Additional work involving performing and analyzing spatial transcriptomics may also be involved.
PhD required.
The competitive candidate will have experience conducting mouse tumor model studies, tissue culture studies, and familiarity with the use of flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry.
Prior experience in conducting and analyzing RNAseq transcriptional analysis and the use of CRISPR/Cas9 is preferred.
