The position will be in Dr. Samarakon's lab on the Wooster campus at The Ohio State Agricultural Technical Institute.
Dr Samarakoon Lab: Research Technician will support the principal investigator and the post doctoral researcher with multiple hydroponic research projects conducted in greenhouses or growth chambers. Specific duties will include setting up hydroponic systems and management crops, and will help sample preparation, and data collection. Duties will also include cleaning and setting up the hydroponic systems, adjusting nutrient solutions, processing samples, record keeping and assisting on-farm and outreach activities. Research Technician is responsible for organizations and maintenance of greenhouses during experiments. Applies pesticides, fertilizers, and experimental treatments according to project protocols.
Research Technician will help with analysis of nutrients and phyto-chemicals.
Additional Information:1-2 years of relevant experience required. General greenhouse work and technical experience in a greenhouse facility. Experience working with analytical equipment. Skills in accurate data collection and analysis. Ability to work on their own and as a team.
