Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Legal Assistant to join a dynamic legal team for a fantastic Dallas law firm. The Legal Assistant will provide essential legal secretarial and administrative support to attorneys, ensuring smooth daily operations and effective case management. This position is fully on-site, full time, and direct hire.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft legal correspondence, memoranda, reports, and other legal documents
Maintain and organize both physical and digital files
Arrange appointments, coordinate meetings, and make travel arrangements, including flight and hotel bookings; submit reimbursement requests as needed
E-filling in both state and federal courts
Assist with billing related tasks
Review, route, and prioritize incoming mail for attorneys
Work with attorneys and other team members across various practice groups and specialties
Requirements:
Minimum of five (5) years' of experience in a legal assistant or comparable role in the legal industry
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with legal billing software, preferably Aderant
Ability to type approximately 70 WPM
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with e-filing and a solid understanding of county and state court systems
Experience in creating, editing, and proofreading legal documents with keen attention to detail
