The Department of Medicine, Division of Classical Hematology is seeking a full-time Associate Professor of Medicine in the appointment stream.
Applicants for Associate Professor of Medicine in the appointment stream should have 5 or more years of experience in related scientific research; have independent, external research funding and a substantial record of peer-reviewed publications; have significant teaching experience; and demonstrate the capacity for sustained, impactful, and independent scholarly contributions and leadership. Qualified candidates must have a PhD degree in Epidemiology or related field. Applicants must have extensive expertise in sickle cell disease and transfusion medicine. Applicant must lead research studies as a Principal Investigator in these areas and is also expected to apply for independent funding and to publish peer-reviewed manuscripts in these areas. Given the expertise in epidemiology and biostatistics, the applicant will collaborate with other investigators by providing statistical support for their grants.
