Position Summary | Reporting to the Director of Institutional Research and Planning, the position is responsible for extracting, analyzing, and reporting data from both institutional and external data bases to respond to recurring and ad hoc requests. The position also works collaboratively on projects with colleagues within and outside the institutional research office. The successful candidate will demonstrate an interest in the field of institutional research and in developing a career as an IR professional. |
Minimum Qualifications | • Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in data analysis and reporting. • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, or equivalent. • Proficiency in use of R, SPSS or SAS for data management and analysis. • Experience extracting data and creating reports using Cognos, or equivalent.• Ability to work in teams. • Ability to successfully complete a background check. |
Preferred Qualifications | • Master’s degree and experience in an institutional research office and demonstrated knowledge of institutional research theory, principles, and methods. • Experience using Tableau for data visualizations.• Knowledge and experience with statistics and statistical analysis techniques. |

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement | The starting annual salary rate for this position will be between $60,384 and $64,000, depending on qualifications and experience, with an excellent benefits package including 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse, or dependent at any of the Oregon University System schools. |
