Responsibilities

Basic PurposeSupports Facilities Maintenance Department and provides controls and analytical support for CorporateServices. Coordinates the activities of the construction, maintenance, and operation at NV Energyproperties to ensure the reliability, efficiency and overall appearances of the facilities. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFacilities support:
  • Functions includes work scheduling, customer/contractor interface, training of maintenance staff and assisting with the short- and long-term asset management planning.
  • Keeps management informed of schedules, priorities, and issues.
  • Coordinates daily scheduling of work to staff; monitors and tracks work assignments by providing oversight and implementing job site inspections.
  • Maintains day-to-day records and reports of progress on projects and upcoming department goals.
  • Supports the Interiors department with construction coordination of remodels.
  • Ensures quality of internal and external customer service through continuous improvement.
  • Coordinates the services provided by outside contractors. Initiates on-going communications and monitoring of their work in progress to ensure the value of the services provided.
  • Supports the short- and long-term range asset management for the facilities by evaluating, researching, and recommending timely upgrades, repairs, and/or replacement of equipment and process improvements. Facilitates the efficient use of facilities and resources in providing a functional, safe, healthy and cost effective work environment.
Responsible for timekeeping of all Facilities employees (north and south) , ensuring hours are reported accurately and charged appropriately; coordinating time with current projects and on-call duties of the staff. Ensures all invoices submitted for payment are processed correctly and paid on time. Tracks project completion and coordinates with contractors and suppliers to ensure that projects and regular maintenance remain within budget constraints. Ensures contracts terms are met on all services and projects. Supports management with procuring contracts with vendors and coordinates communication and all documentation between them and the Company. Coordinates with Safety to ensure that departmental training is being conducted and that the staff has adequate opportunities for training. Serves as Safety Coordinator for Facilities. Controls and Analytical Support
  • Provides analytical support to various department units in the development and reporting of budgets, forecasts, investments, and other related processes.
  • Identifies and monitors expenditures to budget variance trends, complete analysis and provides budgetary support to functional leaders. Audits business system data, examines actuals against targets, forecasts performance, analyzes business processes and conducts special studies.
  • Assists the Facilities Maintenance Manager and Corporate Services functional leaders with all capital projects and Operation Maintenance Administrative and General (OMAG) tracking of expenditures.
  • Coordinates, tracks and initiates payments for annual expenditures.
  • Prepares various management reports. Implements, processes and monitors departmental performance measures.
  • Assists in the development and documentation of processes and procedures for the standardization and support of Corporate Services policies.
  • Prepares documentation and reporting necessary for General Rate Case filings for the north and south.
Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with allpolicies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company. Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Essential Education, Skills, and EnvironmentEducation and Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school and 5 years of related work experience. Candidates that do not possess a bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of 7 years of related work experience. Specialized Knowledge and Skills

Compensation

Annual Salary: $76,200 (Min) to $89,600 (Mid); Up to 12% Short Term Incentive Plan target opportunity at the discretion of the company. This is a non-represented position.
