TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator in Atlanta, GA.
The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for ensuring certified payroll reports are processed timely, accurately, and in compliance with county, state, and government laws.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ensure accurate processing, recording, and reporting of the certified payroll records in compliance with multi-state prevailing wage requirements, federal Davis-Bacon and Related Acts.
Research, interpret, and enforce various sources of regulatory documentation pertaining to labor issues.
Monitor and review all certified payroll compliance documentation for all subcontractors performing on projects.
Input certified payroll records into client/awarding body labor compliance tracking software.
Prepare and submit WH347, state prevailing certified payroll forms as required per contract.
Review wage determination.
Maintain & resolve labor compliance discrepancies to avoid costly penalties in a timely and efficient manner.
Handle the filing and processing of Intent to Pay Prevailing Wage/Affidavit of Wages Paid.
Understand union fringes and calculations.
Serves as subject matter expert on all certified payroll reporting matters.
Establish and maintain consistent communication with internal customers.
Keep current with changes in prevailing wage requirements.
Assist with daily mail distribution.
Provide support for other payroll functions, as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma required
4 Year Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
1 - 2 years of general payroll experience
Experience with LCP Tracker, Elations, Emars, or other labor compliance software a plus
Understanding of State and Federal prevailing wage requirements a plus
Self-directed/self-motivated
Strong Excel knowledge
Ability to work in a flexible environment where requirements and procedures continuously evolve
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to explain complex subjects in simplified terms
Proactive to solving problems/critical thinker
