Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $100,500.00 - $119,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)



About This Job



As a Senior Manager, Business Office-Bank Operations the main purpose of this job is to lead multiple teams that make up the Bank Operations (Ops) Business Office which is responsible for all division-wide support for the Bank Ops division. Data analysts comprise the Bank Ops Support team and exists to provide various financial, budget, project, unit cost, PAS, internal control and operational analysis reporting to the Bank Ops division. Other teams include the Strategic Planning team which is responsible for the strategic planning responsibilities and coordinating successful employee events as well as the Resource Specialists team who provide production and analytical support to departments across the division when other employees are out of the office.



Essential Functions



  • Lead divisional reporting by ensuring monthly deliverables are completed by the team on time along with providing feedback on adjustments to reporting


  • Participate in strategic planning activities, including assisting with the budget process, reviewing department KPIs, and offering divisional insights on these KPIs to Director to enhance performance and drive results


  • Lead effort for the business office to continue to modernize reporting into a data analytics system


  • Manage individual contributors and managers within the business office center of excellence


  • Execute day to day managerial operational responsibilities including running daily stands up, expense reporting when applicable, approving timecards, and performing other managerial duties as assigned


  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers


  • Review monthly reporting deliverables from team members and provide feedback/ direction on needed changes


  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and with all leaders at all levels of the organization


  • Lead, mentor and motivate team members to implement the department strategy and manage department workflow with guidance on departmental projects/issues, and provide coaching and development opportunities appropriate to each direct report's individual needs


  • Perform all necessary management functions, including hiring, evaluations, annual increase allocations and disciplinary action as required


  • Communicate decisions, priorities and relevant information to team members effectively


  • Support budget management, planning and expenditure


  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Strong knowledge of the project management or operations field, including knowledge of best practices


  • Strong operational mindset to improve existing processes with either non-technical or technical solutions


  • Ability to influence and effectively communicate with senior leadership and beyond


  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to apply discretion and sound judgement to efficiently and effectively solve problems

  • Advance level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Visio and Outlook





Education & Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Math, Engineering, Marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience required


  • 8+ years project management or operations experience required


  • 4+ years management experience required

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $100,500 to $119,000 annually. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
