Responsibilities

The Specialist, Safety is responsible for maintaining the expected operating integrity of all equipment, drivers, and IC mandatory operating documents to ensure driver needs are met accurately and timely, while also ensuring the quality of service provided to EFW asset operations, shop, and safety team.

  • Monitor and maintain safety group emails.
  • Assist with driver inquiries.
  • Maintain driver/contractor records, including all filing and organization of filing system.
  • Maintain all drivers/contractors contact and email list.
  • Work with remote employees to ensure file and data integrity.
  • Audit and maintain driver paper logs and files.
  • Maintain all equipment records, including all filing and organization of filing system.
  • Assist with EFW Safety Team as needed for driver/contractor events.
  • Support driver/contractor onboarding as needed.
  • Support bi-annual background check requirements, DACH and MVR.
  • Support Motive Driver and equipment database, reporting, and coaching.
  • Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to read and interpret general business documents.
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively handle multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment, while working independently.
  • Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence.
  • Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures.
  • Ability to solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgment.
  • Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve routine problems.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use diplomacy and tact when communicating with customers, vendors, colleagues, and other departments.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

SUPERVISION

Position functions with supervision and has no direct reports.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
