As the Pricing Data Product Lead, the individual will lead the strategy and roadmap for developing Pricing AI and analytics.This is a dynamic role requiring extensive pricing experience, leadership, and domain knowledge in healthcare products pricing to support the build of analytics, automation, and AI for a pricing platform. This role will lead roadmap development, stakeholder management, valuation of products, creation of a platformand product life cycle management for DAAA stakeholders in Med Surg.
Responsibilities:
Own thestrategy for pricing analytics and pricing AI plays which use data and AI.
Own pricingplatform and pricing plays strategy and roadmap aligned with overall with stakeholder business objectives.
Deliver on the pricing analytics, AI and platform roadmapas a data product manager along the entire product lifecycle, including Ideation, Valuation, Planning, Development, Launch, Adoption, and Sunset.
Perform industry and market analysis on best practices in pricing.
Own the valuation model of the pricing platform for estimated and actual financial value.
Own the KPIs that measure the impact of the pricing plays and platformto stakeholder people and processes. Analyze pricing platform and pricing play usage and KPIs to improve data product performance.
Own the stakeholder relationship and manage expectations through regular communications.
Collaborate with business partners and McKesson Technology (MT) to ensure data and analytics initiatives align with overall business objectives.
Partner with data governance to reduce the risk profile of pricing data products by defining data governance policies and ensuring compliance for data products.
Partner with data architecture and data democratization to ensure scalability and user training.
Work with business stakeholders on training and ongoing product adoption and usage. Monitor pricing data product usage and implement product sunsetting plan as needed.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in pricing. Serve as primary SME on technology to lead data product ideation.
Minimum Requirements:
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience. Less years required if candidate has relevant Master's or Doctorate qualifications.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in business administration, operations research, finance, or AI.
8+ years of demonstrated experience in developing pricing strategy for a healthcare, life sciences, pharma, biotechnology, or large distribution company.Experience with complex pricing and contract data such as Group Purchasing Organizations, especially with enterprise or large accounts. Experience with pricing on a large-scale digital platform (Walmart, Amazon, etc) is helpful.
Demonstratedtrack record of executing on pricing roadmaps with significant financial impact.
Solid understanding of data architecture and data systems and technology. Knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes data analytics and data modeling, and decision sciences.
Excellent communication and presentation skills. The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences is essential. They should be able to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Demonstrated experience formulating and maintaining ROI models on data products.
Prior work experience in manufacturing and distribution helpful, especially in healthcare supply.
