Job Description:

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $200,000 - $300,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric also offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees, inclusive of medical (with member reward points), dental, vision, and basic life insurance, Benefit Bucks (credits to apply towards your benefits) flexible work arrangements, paid family leaves, 401(k) + match, well-being and recognition (including service anniversary) programs, 12 holidays per year, 15 days of paid time off per year (pro-rated in the first year of employment based on start date), opportunity to purchase company stock (eligibility depends on start date), and military leave benefits.

SE Ventures , a $1B+ venture capital firm based in Menlo Park, is looking for an experienced business development leader to join our team as an Operating Partner. SE Ventures invests in early-stage startups working in Climate Tech and Industrial Tech globally, and is backed by the World's Most Sustainable Company , Schneider Electric, a Global Fortune 500 leader in Energy Management and Industrial Automation.

As an Operating Partner, your role is to drive value for our portfolio of 40+ startups through facilitating partnerships and pilots with Schneider Electric. You are essential to the success of the fund and directly impact SE Ventures' engagement with Schneider executives and customers worldwide.

Responsibilities include:


  • Acting as a bridge between the startup ecosystem and internal Schneider Electric business units to develop win-win commercial partnerships

  • Working closely with Investment team to assess strategic fit and financial potential of startups in the pipeline

  • Developing pilot programs for select startups, align implementation roadmaps with Schneider stakeholders, and manage execution and results of pilots

  • Building relationships across business divisions of Schneider Electric, as well as with senior executives at Schneider and other global corporates

  • Providing thought leadership to venture investments team and business leaders

  • Leading market discovery work via deep dives in select areas of focus

  • Collaborating cross-functionally to enhance internal (Schneider Electric) and external (startup ecosystem) awareness, understanding and engagement with SE Ventures


  • 7-10 yrs of experience in sales, business development, and/or strategic alliances and partnerships

  • Ability to "speak the language" of both startups and corporates

  • Strong communication skills and executive presence

  • Experience in project management, ability to organize and implement complex programs across cross-functional teams

  • Interest in our core investment areas of energy management, climate tech, sustainability, industrial automation, applied AI

  • Software product development or customer services experience is a plus

  • Ability to thrive independently and in a team and excel in a fast-paced environment
