Summary Reporting to the Project Manager (PM), the Supervisor provides supports that furthers our mission to help people who have different abilities to receive work support and development as needed.
Responsibilities
Direct and assist workers with collecting mail from the post office and delivering sorted inter-company and outside mail throughout the refinery and other office buildings. Immediately deliver incoming overnight packages to recipients.
Direct and assist workers with separating and organizing mail by recipient name and department and preparing for delivery.
Maintain and apply postage to all metered mail to be delivered to the Post Office and process all UPS for shipping.
Direct and assist workers who are trained on setting up and running the mail through the postage meter to prepare for US Postal Service delivery. Set up and maintain the postage machine.
Complete administrative duties. Help workers with customer requests for copying, binding, folding and other duplication and print jobs including carbonless printing, laminating, spiral comb binding, paddle glue binding and hole drilling press. Process invoices and ensure supplies are available to complete mailroom work.
Ensure work is performed according to contract statement of work, Company policies and procedures.
Interview, train, schedule, evaluate and counsel Mailroom Workers.
Assist with monthly/quarterly assessments and performance evaluations as assigned.
Keep labor cost within budget.
Conduct safety and operations meetings and training sessions.
Promote a culture that advances the company mission to provide work opportunities to individuals with disabilites and disadvantages.
Maintain effective communication and positive relations with co-workers and customers. Communicates needs to Management and implementing feedback for improvement.
Assist with training, answering questions as they arise, and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D
Experience: 6+ months of supervisory or training experience. Clerical experience is helpful but not required.
Attention to detail and data entry skills.
Background checks: must pass criminal background check, various State and Federal registry checks, and DCFS Abuse and Neglect tracking system check.
Driving: Must be at least 21 years or older, have a valid drivers licenses required and must pass driving background check
