Role description:
Arcadis' Greensboro, NC team is looking for dedicated, creative, and energetic candidates interested in tackling challenges and developing sustainable solutions to address water issues like quality, scarcity, reuse, management, and resilience as an Entry Level Water Engineer. Collaborating with our experienced water professionals, you will support and drive the development of projects, interact and work with clients, and develop your technical capabilities.

Role accountabilities:
As and Entry Level Water Engineer, you will be involved in evaluating, planning, and designing projects related to water/wastewater/stormwater treatment and conveyance, along with site planning and design. You will contribute to sustainability and resilience projects by conducting site assessments, designing erosion and sediment control measures, reviewing water quality compliance for industrial general stormwater permit holders, and mitigating flooding and citizen concerns via capital improvements designs. Your support will additionally extend to task management activities.
In the field, you will be responsible for performing various tasks such as site visits, water sampling, analyzing water quality, troubleshooting processes, and periodic site construction observation. Your expertise will be essential in gathering critical data and ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of water, wastewater, and storm systems.
You will also play a key role in the design and coordination of site civil plans for water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities. These plans can include site plans, erosion and sediment control plans, demolition plans, associated design details, grading and utility plans, and the inclusion of all applicable general notes. Your permit assistance and multi-disciplinary coordination will ensure that capital improvements can be designed and constructed in a timely manner for the benefit of the impacted citizens.

Being self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable is important as you will need to navigate and address new challenges as they arise. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills will enable you to tackle complex issues and devise innovative solutions. Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater is essential. Familiarity or experience with AutoCAD and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are also valuable skills that will contribute to your success in this role.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $52,000 - $78,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
