Blue Cross of Idaho is looking for a talented and driven Corporate Development Financial Analyst to join our team. You will help identify and implement strategic acquisitions, equity investments, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships. You will help as we invest in startup companies and make venture fund investments through our strategic investment subsidiary.
As a Financial Analyst for Corporate Development, you will conduct financial analysis and create models that aid in decision making and performance tracking. You will directly collaborate with executives, such as CFOs, controllers, and founders of portfolio companies.
One of the unique aspects of this opportunity is the flexibility to work remotely from a mutually agreed-upon location.
In this role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Performing comprehensive financial analysis for company investments
Applying advanced data analysis skills to deliver strategic recommendations and actionable insights
Monitoring and tracking financials, analyzing performance, and identifying trends
Assessing and measuring the return on investments using your expertise in financial principles and investment strategies
Developing financial models, including pro forma combination models and discounted cash flow analysis
Assessing financial information and preparing presentations for senior management
Supporting the due diligence process and monitoring potential strategic investments
Developing strategic rationale for acquisitions and investments aligned with our corporate strategy
Engaging with our strategic investment portfolio companies and tracking results.
Partner with financial, operating, and legal to perform due diligence for potential investments.
Interact with external venture, CVC, and M&A communities to enhance our credibility and network.
Exercising good judgment and discretion, especially regarding sensitive or confidential matters
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you should have 7/+ years' experience in financial analysis, effective planning, valuation techniques, and structuring of deals. A Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related field is required (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree. Two years' relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college).
Additionally, we highly value candidates who possess a CPA and/or MBA, have prior healthcare experience, and have a background in data analysis and financial reporting. Excellent negotiation, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills are extremely helpful, as is proven ability to successfully lead complex projects independently and in cross-functional teams. Successful team members will have intellectual curiosity and hunger to learn and collaborate.
