ATTRIBUTES
In lieu of degree, equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered
Two (2) years of related work experience in a healthcare setting or customer service setting preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills
Demonstrated experience with PC and office programs including, but not limited to: database management, spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Patient Care. Provide training and mentoring to new team members; promote participation in organizational activities; greet visitors, patients and team members entering unit; provide escorts to other areas when needed; monitor and maintain nurse call system; respond to patient's call for service as needed; daily rounding of patients on unit, update whiteboards, survey rooms for potential harm and ensure safety measures are in place
Organization & Management. Responsible for administrative duties as assigned by Unit Nursing Leadership; organize the day-to-day operations of the unit; maintain patient flow for unit by verifying daily census and updating in Care Connect; answer telephone, routes calls and provide administrative support for nurses and physicians; maintain appropriate inventory and supply levels determined by unit
Documentation. Create work orders, HELPSTAR tickets and report any unit needs to appropriate department; complete scanning of patient's documentation in a timely manner; complete End of Life process, including documentation and notifications
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
PAY RANGE: $17.50 - $19.65
